We, at Lithuanian Shipping Company, are committed to conducting our daily business operations in a socially and ethically responsible manner, based on our corporate values and objectives. Our employees at the technical management department have on average over twenty years of shipping-related work experience and are fully qualified to ensure the highest standards of safety at sea.

In accordance with the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS), Lithuanian Shipping Company complies with all requirements set in the ISM Code and hence meets international standards for safe management and operation of its fleet and pollution prevention at sea and port areas. Moreover, all our vessels are annually certified by such worldwide recognized classification societies as Lloyd’s Register of Shipping, Bureau Veritas and American Bureau of Shipping.

In addition to complying with mandatory legislation, all our employees, whether on shore or at sea, are expected to execute their work under health and safety instructions issued by the company. Such measures are annually reviewed and guarantee that all our operations are undertaken in a safe manner and with the proper concern of protecting the environment.

Furthermore, we aim to eliminate possible dangers by constantly promoting a pro-active approach within our staff with the main objective to minimize such risks as personal injuries, professional illnesses, accidents, damages to property and the environment that are common in the international shipping industry. We believe that by encouraging our employees to participate in determining and solving these risks in their daily work encounters our company will ensure the highest levels of safety and danger prevention in the future. Additionally to above mentioned initiatives, we regularly invest in improving our vessels’ design, operating procedures and staff training in order to sharpen our safety focus even further.
